In most Windchill environments we audit, the largest avoidable cost is not licence spend. It is the time engineers lose to re-keying data into ERP, searching for a part that already exists, and chasing approvals through email. Each one is small; together they add up to weeks per engineer per year.
What we change
- Integration instead of re-entry. A governed part-master and BOM sync to your ERP, with clear ownership rules for each attribute.
- Search that finds things. Classification, attributes and saved searches configured so that reuse is easier than creating a new part.
- Change processes sized to the change. Fast-track routes for low-risk changes; full review only where it earns its place.
- Dashboards for managers. Cycle time, ageing tasks and bottlenecks visible without exporting to Excel.
How we measure it
Before we start we baseline cycle times and manual touch points with your team. After go-live we report against the same numbers. If the numbers do not move, we have not finished.
