An independent Windchill practice
We do one thing: PTC Windchill for manufacturers. Customization, migration and automated operations, in the cloud or on-premise, plus the implementation and support work around them, by a team that has done each many times.
Companies whose teams we have worked with
- Thales
- Airbus
- BMW
- Benteler
- PTC
- Percall
- Inetum
Why a specialist
Windchill is a deep product. Getting it right depends on hundreds of small decisions about parts, documents, lifecycles, workflows and integrations, and on knowing which of those decisions will hurt at the next upgrade. We made most of those mistakes years ago on other people's projects, and we keep a decision log so we do not repeat them on yours.
What we believe
- Configuration before customization. Code is a last resort and comes with tests.
- The people who implement a system should also be the ones on call for it.
- Every number we promise is measured before and after, on your data.
- Documentation is part of the deliverable, not an afterthought.
Where we have worked
Our consultants and engineers have delivered Windchill customization, migration and platform work for engineering teams at Thales, Airbus, BMW and Benteler, and have worked alongside PTC, Percall and Inetum on their customers' projects. Most of that work is under NDA; the case studies on this site are anonymised for that reason.
Partnership
Baseline PLM is a PTC partner. We work directly with PTC support and product teams on defects and roadmap questions, and we stay independent in what we recommend.
Careers
We hire people who like the unglamorous parts of PLM: data models, upgrades, runbooks. Roles we are usually looking for:
Windchill consultant
Business process and data-model design, configuration, customer workshops.
Windchill developer
Customizations, REST services, ERP and CAD integrations, automated tests.
Platform engineer
AKS and Helm in the cloud, Ansible on-premise, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps, and observability for Windchill.
