The customer ran Windchill on ageing on-premises servers. Every release required a weekend outage, test environments were months out of date, and infrastructure knowledge sat with one person.
What we did
- Designed a cloud reference architecture with shared storage for vaults and a managed database.
- Built automated release pipelines with smoke tests and a rehearsed rollback path.
- Introduced environment cloning so test and training environments are refreshed from production in hours.
Outcome
Routine releases now roll out during working hours. The customer’s IT team operates the platform from documented runbooks, with our engineers on second line.
